It has been a long while since I have posted on this blog-my apologies. A lot of time in the last few months have been spent trying to focus on how I can spread the work that I have created over the last decade an a half so that it can help more people.

When I embarked upon this path, I did so because after years of education in Chinese medicine, I quickly realized that the beautiful and profound medicine I had been trained in required a mergence with modern medicine in order to understand the complicated condition of IC and some other chronic disorders we see today.

I quickly realized that without the modern understanding of human anatomy and physiology, and without the understand of the effects of diet, stress, and medication, one could not possibly begin to identify the problems that exist with these chroinic conditions, let alone treat them. This lead me to the process of my doctoral dissertation and the the years of work I have spent cultivating this system.

My husband, and professional partner is now formally the first practitioner practicing under the ICAMA system. I have been training him for quite some time. It is our hope that this is the first step towards more people being trained in this very important work so that more and more people may be helped as it does appear that this problem is much bigger than is being reported in the US and abroad.

This is very exciting, as my work has been something that I have taken very personally, having devoted a huge part of my life to it. I hope that its clinical value will have a life-changing impact on people having IC as well as other chronic disease, as I feel that its applicability spans further than IC itself.

Along with the value of the obvious closeness that two people have as life and business partners, Boaz brings to the ICAMA work his incredibly profound understanding of Chinese medicine and his ability to impart information to people, having had a wealth of experience in teaching Chinese medicine to many audiences. This kind of experience coupled with his years of clinical experience will help take the ICAMA work to a whole new level.

Together we are seeking ways to provide more care with a higher degree of professionalism and effectiveness and to help not only treatment, but education to prevent this from ocurring at all.
