In my opinion have a lot in common. Doctors on the cutting edge of doing tremendous work with Autism treat-guess what? Yes! The GUT! When working on an autistic child’s gastrointestinal tract, the autism improves.

This is really amazing work and what could be more important than saving a child’s quality of life?

I just was given this article by a patient that I thought was pretty interesting linking autism to a virus. But, my thought was-but this would be in addition to a weak gut. It would be interesting to conduct a study on how many children having autism have mother’s who were themselves imbalanced during the pregnancy. My IC patients who were unwell during their pregnancies (typically before treatment with me!) usually note problems of chronic natures with their children’s health. Those issues need to be worked on early on to get the child’s health well balanced which will affect their health ongoing!

Anyway, this is an interesting read and gives a lot of food for thought.
