Would you consider writing a blog on specific things we need to avoid giving your reasons ? Eg vit E , soya ? , mushrooms , etc.

The food lists are based on steps and stages of withholding vitamins or substances that will feed inflammation. In some cases, these are substances that are harmful, such as sugar, or alcohol, or even soy, and others are about things that are too strengthening and therefor will strengthen the inflammation. Vitamins cannot differentiate between the person and the inflmmation. This is why doing things like long cooked broth is not good because all of the nutrients that come with it will strengthen the inflammation. Many of the nutrients in broth such as the gelatin, an herb we use in CM, is just much too strong in the presence of intense inflammation. Or, the nutrients in beans for example, if introduced too soon will cause pain for the same reason.

Mushrooms are a fungus. And, although CM uses mushrooms, it is part of my style to almost never use them. There is one kind of fungus I use on an occasional formula here and there in a very limited way, but, otherwise, I never ever use them. I recommend against eating them. My own children know to not touch them. This is something I would say is a good thing to kind of subscribe to for life-same with super aged cheeses like blue cheese-orgonzola, etc…

As for soy-there are two camps on this subject. Some believe it is fabulous, while others think it is dreadful. I am in the dreadful camp excpet for its occasional use as with some soy sauce when you go for Asian food a couple times per month. This is ok when one is in a balanced state late stage treatment, but, should not be done in even limited amounts (except a tiney bit of soy lecithin in processed foods). Soy is very cold in nature as we put it in CM, and this causes constriction- in the digestive tract whihc will cause pain-it does cause huge pain-I have seen this repeatedly over time. It is said in the negative soy camp that it distrubs the hormone chain and I think this is also true. This is another food my daughters both know to not touch unelss we are out for sushi and then it is just a little dipping in soy sauce. They never eat tofu. Back in my early practice I thought perhaps this would be different for Asians and I tested that theory. Asians had the same negative reactions to soy. I strongly recommend against soy always except in these limited amoutns and only after you are off and running with stability.

Coconut-another no no. There are endless fads in health. This food when one is well and balanced is certainly fine here and there. However, to use this everyday is much too much because it is an antifungal which is kind of like taking diflucan for the rest of your life. It will have a consequence. It disturns the balance of the microorganisms. Before you are stable, it will also cause huge pain. This is a huge red flag food!

Alcohol and sugar-these just both cause huge strains on your liver and create inflammation. These cause big problems and I recommend zero. I dont recommend things that I do not do myself. So, I know this is doable. There are so many natural sugars one can use to enjoy some sweet things here and there. Food is medicine and we should use it to nourish our bodies not pollut them. There isnt any good reason for these two foods as far as I am concerned.

I know soya is controversial but I’m wanting to try dairy free for a bit and it’s always helpful to understand why something is not good for us.

I’m struggling to find an alternative yoghurt apart from soya for example. Is it that I shudnt eat ANY AT ALL EVER -why ? Or that it’s something to avoid high consumption of on a regular basis ? Is it safe to try some for a few weeks or not at all ?  If you would like to find an alternative to dairy-although dairy is greatly misunderstood in my opinion-if you eat raw dairy it is fabulous-or even a combo of raw and organic not raw-as in yoghurt. You could use almond yoghurt and almond milk-but carefully because almonds are very high in b vitamins and cause cause a lot of pain if it is used prematurely. oh BTW-I think it is the antibiotics and hormones in dairy that cause the massive problems with it.

Thank u ! Also something healthy like flaxseed. ? Flax is fine eventually when you are in a helathy balance, but, in the beginning and even middle stages, it adds in a lot of moisture that your body may not be ready for. This can cause a lot of congestion adding to the back up that already exists with the fluids in the body. Too much stickiness and inhibits flow.

I think also for longer term patients like myself , the need to eat a more healthy diet comes to the fore and not that I’m very keen to eat soya but, for example , I used to use a little flaxseed on my yoghurt but I am too scared to try now. I think when trying to get well for a long time, it becomes more important to look at food Intake and nutrients. The limiting of so much doesn’t feel that good for me after so long but of course I don’t want to try things that make me hurt.

Healthy is dependent on the time and in whom it is introduced. So, what is healthy for one person is not always healthy for another in a given period of time. It is always abotu circumstance with everything in life and it is no different within this context.

I hope this Q &A helped
