My mother was a Halloween fantatic. She planned months in advance and hand made each of our costumes. She would lie to us and tell us we were going to be something we were not and surprise us with a completely different and elaborate costume in the 11th hour and everyone would be in awe of her amazing talent.
She was a chocoholic and in many ways, a really funny and great mother. She was the kind of mother that would probably be dipping into my halloween loot while I was sleeping and eat it for her self! One Easter, no kidding, the bottom of my easter bunny was eaten and re-placed in the grass as if nothing had attacked it the night before! She was always the mom who was "in" on all of the festivities of every holiday.
OK, now I have to be really honest. If I could run and hide with my kids on Halloween, I would. I was secretly happy when my little daughter was sick with the flu and I got to stay home with her a couple Halloweens ago. I dread it. And, I of course, abhor the candy.
These ideas were just sent to me ( I will never meantions names on my blog ) by one of you, and they are super cool! I will definitely try many of these and share with my daughter's school in hopes they also think it is cool on D day:)
