is a concept of the mother passing problems on to the child through the womb-but not of a genetic nature, but a microbiological one. Someone passed an article on to me this am and it is really all about this without calling it this.
I cannot begin to tell you how many points I agree with in this article, it is wonderful researchers are doing this work. It is about autism and that the stem of it may well be from the health of the mother at the time of carrying the child.
I often will plead with my patients to wait until they are much better balanced before becoming pregnant. This is not only becuase they themselves will go through the pregnancy in a much happier, healthier, less symptomatic way, but to help prevent any impact of the IC on the child. This is not per se to prevent IC, although, that could happen. A host of other disorder often happen–eczema, asthma, chronic respiratory infections with weak immunity, bowel issues, etc…. These are not things you want your child to start life out with. It complicates everything and the traditional treatments for them make the situation worse.
When the mother is in good balance, in my opinion, this prevents these things from happening and sets the child up for a much healthier immune system. When the child comes into life with a weaker system, in my non autism experience, I believe then the chemicals this child is exposed to can trigger the autism, especially with very strong chemicals such as vaccine (sorry, I know this is a heated subject).
This is kind of crossing several subjects into one, but, the bottom line is–should you wait to conceive until you are in better health, and the absolute answer in my opinion is a big YES–for you and for your baby.
