I would agree with the outlined comments in certain circumstances, but not all. It is true that many root canal treatments are performed by individuals without the necessary skills or materials or both, during which infected tissue is inadequately removed or entirely left in the root system, thereby causing a low grade leakage of bacterial endotoxins. However some teeth being treated properly would likely not be a liability to the patient’s health, if all of the parameters necessary are followed up properly. This is not a black and white issue, as teeth cannot indiscriminately be removed from one’s mouth, the consequences for lost teeth can have other devastating effects.
